Privacy

What we do with the information you give this website. Impending Tech Limited is the data controller for everything described here.

The contact form

If you fill in the contact form we collect your name, email address, organisation, role, phone number and whatever you write in the message box. It is emailed straight to contact@impending.tech from our own Microsoft 365 and lands in our inbox. Nothing about it is passed to anyone else.

We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as we need it to handle the enquiry and any follow-up.

The resources pack

If you ask for the PDF pack we collect your email address, and your name and organisation if you choose to give them. The address is recorded on a list in our own Microsoft 365 and used to email you the documents.

If you tick the update box we also use it to email you when one of those documents changes, and for nothing else. Every one of those emails carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We do not use the address for marketing and we do not pass it on.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It is off until you say yes on the banner. If you say no, or ignore the banner, nothing is requested from Google at all and no analytics cookie is set.

If you say yes, Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, which it uses to give an approximate location and then discards. We have turned off advertising and personalisation features, so the data is not used to target ads at you.

What this site does not do

There is no advertising and no tracking pixel from a social network.

Nothing else is loaded from anyone else either. The typefaces, images and styles are all served from this site, so visiting a page you have not agreed to analytics on does not reach a third party at all.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Email contact@impending.tech and we will deal with it.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
